While working with James and Drew in Detroit, we were able to recruit a last minute Michigan addition to our shoot.
Jake is a great model who I’ve photographed before and he kindly contributed his skills to our urban decay sessions in the Motor City.

Despite the fact that Drew and James were a couple, Jake was enthusiastically welcomed into the group. And their comfort levels were quite evident in the images that followed.
A few stairs offered easy starts for these pairings. But soon any barriers that might have existed dissolved into friendly interaction.

A few classical themes even popped up with this modern version of the Three Graces against a graffiti’d wall.
Amazingly, this was shot in extremely low lighting with just a tiny roof hatch acting as source.

But Jake also had his moments of solitude. Two desolate churches offered us some amazing spots for detail shots.
He competes in various bodybuilding contests so he also brings a more powerful frame to these shots.

Although we only had Jake’s presence for a few short hours, we did create some wonderful material.
And this gave me one more opportunity to play with 3 models. It does become more challenging but I’ve been fortunate each time to get guys who are easygoing enough to support a comfortable workload.
