Here we go again. How could any photographer in their right mind turn down the opportunity to work with this amazing image-making powerhouse!
After a winter respite, Armani and I reconnected to try more creative concepts here in Columbus.

I had started a vintage car project a few years ago, but the logistics were always very difficult. Coordinating models, car owners and weather proved to be daunting.
Luckily, on this trip, the gods were favoring our plans and we came up with a new rendition. These have become great interpretations of the cheesy pin-ups that used to adorn many mens auto dealers and shops back in the day.

Another visual setting involved the use of a local gentleman’s historic home. I have been enjoying the option of unique indoor settings as a foul weather fallback when shooting urbex.
I’ve become keenly aware of finding unique BnB’s or other lodging to host a shoot in case Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. This time it was an intentional decision.

We had the honor of shooting in a gorgeous home from the late 1800’s that was beautifully appointed with a mix of eclectic furniture and objects. A personal favorite.
And Armani enjoyed the fact that he was able to stay relatively clean!

Of course, the amazing natural light really accentuated the scene too.
Per his routine, Armani didn’t fail to find interesting poses and interactions to keep the set more engaging.

This was just the beginning of a long weekend session. After shooting a bit in a local cemetery, we traveled to Cleveland to meet another model and continue the adventure.
Those images, plus a special studio shoot with Armani, will be featured in the future.
My thanks to this fabulous athlete. I look forward to more astounding work in the future.
